To provide insight into the presentation of character and story, this essay will examine how Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), directed by George Miller, uses the the material body to discuss the theories of feminism and post-apocalyptic cinema. To analyse the synchrony of the individual aspects that make up the material body, close reference will be made to the clip ‘Furiosa’, which presents the characters of Imperator Furiosa (Charl ize Theron) and Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy) in combat, trying to survive and escape Immortan Joe’s pursuant army.
